New Emergency Department
An addition to the existing facility allowed LGH to continue ongoing service while the new facility was created. LGH utilized an existing drive-through access, which was below the ICU, for their new emergency department facility. Working through the winter, Wrenn maintained the ambulance entrance at one side of the site, created a new mechanical space below grade, and maintained a temporary second means of egress for the functioning ICU above, on this severely sloping site. The hospital is able to better serve its patients by providing this up-to-date and easily accessible facility.
